Dr. Thom Golden

A visionary leader who believes in college accessibility, Dr. Thom Golden has spent more than 20 years working in enrollment management and higher education. Sixteen of these years were spent in highly selective college admissions at Purdue and Vanderbilt Universities. Following his on-campus experiences, Dr. Golden joined Capture Higher Ed in 2015 to build and lead Capture Labs, an advanced data science research and development unit. While at Capture, Dr. Golden specialized in identifying and recruiting a diverse and innovative team that created the first machine learning predictive analytic software in enrollment management.
Dr. Golden adds first-hand insight into the enrollment management tech and innovation sector to Napier Executive Search’s already extensive expertise in identifying transformational leaders for an ever-evolving higher education market.
He earned his doctorate in educational psychology from Purdue University, a master’s degree in higher education and student affairs from The Ohio State University, and a baccalaureate degree in English from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. He and his wife Bridget Williams Golden are the proud parents of three sons.
